The past continuous is used in English to talk about actions or events that were in progress at some time in the past. It is formed with “was” or “were” and a present participle.过去进行时用于谈论过去某个时间正在进行的动作 。它由“was” 或者 “were”加动词的现在分词构成 。
THE PAST CONTINUOUS 过去进行时Past simple shows the action happened once and is now finished. 一般过去时表示动作发生了一次并且现在已结束 。
Past continuous describes a continuing action. 过去进行时表示一个持续性动作 。
HOW TO FORM 一般结构
“Was” or “were” is used depending on the subject. 用“was” 还是 “were”取决于主语 。
“-ing” is added to the main verb. 动词原型后加“-ing”。

The present perfect simple 现在完成时PRESENT PERFECT 现在完成时“Has” is used for “he,” “she,” and “it.” “he,” “she,” and “it”后接“Has”。
REGULAR PAST PARTICIPLES 规则的过去分词IRREGULAR PAST PARTICIPLES 不规则过去分词This is the past participle of “see.” 这是 “see”的过去分词 。
This is the past simple form of “see,” and shouldn’t be used in perfect tenses. 这是 “see” 的过去式，不能用于完成时 。
“GONE / BEEN” She is still in Florida. 她还在佛罗里达 。
She went to Florida, but now she is back home. 她去过佛罗里达，但现在她已经回家了 。
THE PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE AND THE PAST SIMPLE 现在完成时和一般过去时A specific date, 2010, is given, so the past simple is used. 给出了具体日期，2021，所以用一般过去式 。
There’s no specific date, so the present perfect is used. 没有具体日期，所以用现在完成时 。
THE PRESENT PERFECT IN US ENGLISH 英式英语的现在完成时US English often uses the past simple when UK English would use the present perfect.
